Prof. Wang Xiaomin, Head of Beijing Institute For Brain Disorders & Director of Department of Neurobiology Capital Medical University, Academician Pu Muming, Head of Institute of Neuroscience, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Sten Grillner, Academician of Department of Neuroscience, Karolinska Institute, and Academician Max Cynader, Director of Center for Brain Research, University of British Columbia, were joint executive chairmen of the conference, and more than 50 experts and scholars at home and abroad attended the conference.

The project of Application Study on Epidemiology, Pathogenesis, Diagnosis and Treatment of Dementia and Mild Cognitive Impairment in which Prof. Jia Jianping, Head of the Institute of Alzheimer disease, who worked in Xuanwu Hospital, Capital Medical University, was the person chiefly in charge, was awarded with The Second Grade National Prize for Science and Technology Progress 2013.
