The First Meeting of International Alliance of Translational Neuroscience Consultative Committee was held at Dong Fang Hotel Beijing on September 14-15, 2015. The meeting was sponsored by Beijing Institute For Brain Disorders, and hosted by Wang Xiaomin, Chairman of International Alliance of Translational Neuroscience, Vice-President of Capital Medical University and Head of Beijing Institute For Brain Disorders. Sten Grillner, Chairman of the Consultative Committee, Secretary-General of the International Brain Research Society, and Academician of Department of Neuroscience, Karolinska Institute, Prof. Philip Beart from University of Melbourne and others attended this meeting, and Academician Pu Muming, Head of Shanghai Institute of Neuroscience, Chinese Academy of Sciences, attended the examination by letter.
The first batch of supported International Alliance of Translational Neuroscience International Cooperation Seed Fund Projects in 2013 was reviewed at this meeting. 8 project leaders reported the project progress, existing problems and next work plan respectively and answered questions raised by the experts, and Academician Sten Grillner and Prof. Philip Beart gave detailed guiding suggestions for the projects one by one. This review meeting was the first time Beijing Institute For Brain Disorders organized third parties to carry out performance evaluation on scientific research projects, and had played a positive guiding role in promoting the project progress.
