"2015 Capital Medical University，Beijing Institute For Brain Disorders Academic Annual Conference & the Third Session of The First Academic Committee" was held in Beijing on March 19, 2016. During the meeting, the annual work progress of Beijing Institute For Brain Disorders and its institutes was reported and summarized, the development planning of Beijing Institute For Brain Disorders and its institutes was discussed and schemed, and in-depth exchange and discussion were performed on the research progress of critical brain disorders, research progress of brain imaging and other frontier academic hotspots.
17 Academic Committee Members of Beijing Institute For Brain Disorders’ Academic Committee were present at the meeting, including 11 academicians, and they are Director Academician Han Jisheng, Deputy Director Academician Qiang Boqin, Academician Cheng Jing and others. In view of the problems of insufficient top-level design strength, imbalance of volume and research level of the institutes, limited amount of generic technology, resources and data sharing, etc. existing in the development of Beijing Institute For Brain Disorders, the Academic Committee Members recommended Beijing Institute For Brain Disorders to strengthen the top-level design, lay emphasis on combining basic and clinical practices in the construction of the "Sophisticated Innovation Center" with drawing of the human brain function map as the main line, and make great efforts to produce a batch of high-level theories and application achievements; strengthen the connection between the institutes, cooperate whole heartedly in database, database construction, data sharing and other aspects, and improve the data retrieval capability; give full play to the advantages of clinical medical research, establish some cohort studies of prominent significance, and provide new perspectives for basic research and so on.
