Lan Zhang
Dr. Lan Zhang is the director of Pharmacology in Xuan-wu hospital of Capital Medical University (CMU).
She obtained her MD. in 1996 and PhD. in Pharmacology in 2005 from CMU. Dr. Zhang received a postdoctoral fellow in the department of Neruo-chemistry of New York State Basic research institute in 2007 and performed the research of the drug intervention on tau hyperphosphorylation.
Dr. Zhang is the top scientist of neuropharmacology in China. She leads the pharmacological research of Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative diseases in China. She was in charge of many important national projects about the drug therapy on the neurodegenerative disease, especially the R&D of the new drug on Alzheimer’s disease treatment. She have published more than 100 scientific papers and obtained 12 Chinese patents and 2 US patent for new drugs. She won the many academic awards in the field of Pharmacology and Neuroscience in China.
Dr. Zhang was the vice-chairman and secretary-general of Beijing Pharmacological society, and was elected as the fellow of many state academic associations such as Chinese pharmacological society, Chinese Pharmacy society, Chinese gerontology society, and so on.
