Yuanli Zhao M.D., is the Professor and Director of Cerebrovascular Surgery Division, Department of Neurosurgery, Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Capital Medical University. Started from October 2015, Dr. Zhao has also become Professor and Chairman, Department of Neurosurgery, Peking University International Hospital.

Dr. Zhao graduated from Peking Union Medical College in 1996 and got his M.D. degree. After that he has woroked in Beijing Tiantan Hospital for 20 years. He got his promotion as associate professor at age of 26 and became a full professor at age of 34.

Currently his major specialities include cerebrovascular surgery, brian tumor surgery and neuro critical care, mostly to be good at complicated surgical treatment of intracranial aneurysms, brain artriovenous malformation, brain stem cavenous malfortion, pituitary adenoma, glioma, meningioma, etc. He has operated more than 5000 cases.

Also Dr. Zhao is working with his research team focus on risk factor of bleeding of unruptured AVM, 3D pringing of artificial dura with drug slow release function, and hybrid surgery technique innovation, etc.

He has more than 60 scientific publicaitons and international meeting lectures. He is also member of World Federation of Neurosurgical Society Education Committee, executive member of ACNS, AACNS，and Secretary of Chinese Neurosurgical Society.
